The Foundations of Faith Study walks through foundational passages of the Bible to provide first hand knowledge of the Scriptures and the beliefs and practices that come from the passages. The intent is to help those who are new to Christianity, reconsidering Christianity, or taking their first steps at going deeper in understanding the faith. The passages are arranged based on six identities of a Christian as a: Worshipper, Follower, Steward, Family Member, Helper and Witness.

Foundations encourage people to explore the Bible in simple, honest, and engaging manner. You don’t need prior knowledge or firm beliefs to participate—just a willingness to explore, ask honest questions, and consider what you encounter. At the same time these are not just beginner steps—they are lifelong rhythms. The most mature followers of Jesus don’t move beyond them; they return to them again and again, going deeper over time.

At the heart of our Foundations Journey are three key convictions. First, The Bible is the Word of God and reveals who God is and how he relates to people. The second is salvation—how people are restored to a right relationship with God through Jesus. God has demonstrated his love and mercy to us through Jesus and now invites a response of trust, repentance, and ongoing transformation. Third is patience. We realize and expect that many people participating in this journey may be unfamiliar with the Bible and not in agreement with its teaching. We welcome your honest participation . Everyone is in a different place in their walk with God and we want you to feel the freedom to be where you are. Our goal is to faithfully teach the basics and then give you space to process. We will be patient with you, and we also ask that you be patient with other participants. We believe this will lead to a rich time intellectually, socially, and spiritually.
